When were you saved?

The summer of my 8th grade year at Youth Camp.

What do you love about student ministry?

My first experience with our student ministry was by being recruited as a camp volunteer. I stepped into a LifeGroup leader role to have the opportunity to give back to other students in the same way my daughter’s amazing leaders poured into her life. I was honored to become a part of this Amazing Team and put my “organizational gifts” to work. I LOVE the opportunity to connect with not just students, but with parents and our Rockstar leaders and not just serve, but truly “do life” with all of them!

What is your life verse?

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:6-7

This became my life verse during my junior year in high school, just when the pressure of “what’s your future going to be” really hit hard for me. It has continued to carry me through all life phases past, present and future. It reminds me that no matter what I’m going through the focus isn’t the WHAT, but on the WHO God is. Reminding myself of that has truly given me the peace to walk through anything!

Anything that brings chocolate and caramel together, it’s the perfect pair for me!
